DHAKA: The rail communications between Dhaka-Chattogram and Sylhet-Chattogram, which remained snapped for eight hours due to train accident in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria on early Tuesday (Nov 12), were restored.
Bangladesh Railway’s General Manager (East Zone) Nasir Uddin Ahmed said the train movement became normal from 10:50am on Tuesday (Nov 12).
At least 16 passengers were killed and many others injured as two intercity trains collided in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria early Tuesday (Nov 12).
Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet collided with Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram at Mondobhag Railway Station around 3am.
