DHAKA: Five probe committees have been formed over the train accident in Brahmanbaria that killed at least 16 people and injured many more.
Out of the bodies, Bangladesh Railway formed two while the ministry concerned, Government Rail Inspector and Brahmanbaria District Administration constituted one each this morning.
At least 16 passengers were killed and many others injured as two intercity trains collided in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria early Tuesday (Nov 12).
Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet collided with Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram at Mondobhag Railway Station around 3am.
