DHAKA: The government has decided to appoint Dr Md. Nazrul Islam as the new Bangladesh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a release on Monday (November 11).

Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Mission at Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

Ambassador designate Dr Islam is a career foreign service officer belongs to 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre.

In his diplomatic career, Dr. Islam worked in various capacities in Bangladesh Missions in South Korea, Australia, Iraq and Lebanon as well as Deputy Permanent Representative to OIC, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
