The ACC on Wednesday (October 23) sent a letter to the Special Branch of Police (SB) of immigration requesting a ban on foreign travel. ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The ACC has requested the ban in a letter signed by Syed Iqbal Hossain, its director and also chief of investigation team.

Some of those who have been banned from traveling abroad have recently been arrested, as well as the some of those currently under investigation.

The letter stated that they have been accused of money laundering abroad and money laundering. The ACC investigations in this regard found the initial proof of the allegations. So the accused concerned can try to leave the country.

Therefore, Immigration officials have been requested to take effective measures so that the alleged persons cannot leave the country.
