France urged to put pressure on Myanmar Dr AK Abdul Momen meets Jean Baptiste Lemoyne

DHAKA: Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen urged France and European Union to put pressure on Myanmar to take back forcibly displaced Rohingyas from Bangladesh.

Besides, he also urged France to invest in Bangladesh.

Dr AK Abdul Momen held a meeting with State Secretary of Ministry for Europe and  Foreign Affairs of France Jean Baptiste Lemoyne, who is also in charge of French trade and investment, foreign ministry issued a release on Tuesday (October 22).

Dr AK Abdul Momen urged French enterprises to investment in the country’s infrastructure, renewable energy, and waste management and ICT sectors considering Bangladesh government’s various business friendly easy regulations to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Momen invited French business delegations to visit Bangladesh to assess the opportunities that Bangladesh offers to investors.

Momen is now on a three-day visit in Paris as a part of his four-nation Europe tour.
