BHOLA:  Some men, identifying themselves as members of Detective Branch of police, picked up the brother-in-law and cousin of Biplap.

Biplab, a youth from Kachia union of the upazila, uploaded a post on Facebook, resulting in backlash against it from the entire upazila.  He was jailed.

Bidhan Majumder and Sagor, 14, were called and picked up from Charfasson Upazila on Monday night (October 21).

Biplob’s uncle Asim Kumar said Bidhan and Sagar had a jewelry shop. A team of 7-8 people went to the shop and got them on a mini-microbus, identifying them as DB police. Still their whereabouts are unknown.  Police were verbally informed about it. 

“No one informed us about it. We’re looking into it after hearing about it,” Samsul Arefin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charfasson police station, told Banglanews.

Bhola DB OC Shahidul Islam said: “No raid was conducted by DB in Charfasson. No one was detained.”

Four persons were killed, nine bullet-hit and at least fifty others injured in a number of clashes between police and locals in Borhanuddin upazila of the district on Sunday (October 20).
