CHATTOGRAM: Police recovered dead bodies of a man and his daughter from Nimtola area under Chattogram Bandar Police Station on Saturday (October 19).

The deceased were—Md. Arif, 32, and his 4-year-old daughter Fatema.

Arif and his family used to live in a rented house at Buchuika Colony of the area. Police recovered Arif and his daughter’s slash-throat bodies after locals had informed them, Sukanto Chakrabarti, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chattogram Bandar Police Station, told Banglanews.

Marks of stabbing were visible in throats of both of the bodies. However, nothing is known about the murder motive. The forensic team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrived to investigate the incident. They will collect samples after visiting the spot, OC also said.
