JHENAIDAH: Two women were killed in a road accident in Laudia area of ​​ Jhenaidah town on Saturday (Oct 8) morning.

Ten others were injured in the incident, Banglanews correspondent reports.

The accident took place in front of the Laudia Govt Primary School around 11am. The identity of the vicrtims cannot be known immediately.

Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mainuddin confirmed the incident.

Locals said a human hauler locally called 'Mahendra' was going to Kaliganj from the town this morning. On the way, a truck hit the vehicle from behind. Two women passengers of Mahendra died on the spot and ten others were injured at the time.

The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, they added.
