MUNSHIGNAJ: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Alipura area on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Gozaria upazila on Thursday (September 19).  

The deceased were identified as Zakir Hossain, 25, son of Mostafa and Miraz, 18, son of Abdul Mannan of Ichhapura village in Haziganj upazila of Chandpur.

Kabir Hossain Khan, in charge of Bhaber Char Highway police outpost, told Banglanews that a motorbike riding by Zakir and Miraz hit a road island as the biker lost control over the steering at 7:00am, leaving one of them dead on the spot and injured another. 

Later, Miraz died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
