KISHOREGANJ: Two schoolboys were killed in a road accident on Jiraton-Lakhpur road in Karimganj upazila on Wednesday (September 18). 

The deceased were identified as Mahin, 12, son of Mizan and Rajon, 12, son of Mahbub of Kiraton-fakirpara village and sixth grade students of Dehunda High School.

Police said the duo was going to school on a bicycle around 9:30am. On their way, a brick-laden tractor ran over their cycle, leaving Mahin dead on the spot and Rajon injured critically. 

Initially, the injured was taken to Kishoreganj 250-bed general hospital. Later, he died on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 

Md Mominul Islam, officer in charge of Karimganj police station, told Banglanews that tractor was seized but driver fled away. Legal action will be taken in this connection.
