COX’S BAZAR: Police recovered two bullet-hit dead bodies from Kata Pahar and Kobita Chattar areas of Cox’s Bazar town on Monday (September 16).

One of the deceased was identified as Rifat, 25, of Baharchara area of the town while the other could not be identified.

Locals informed police after hearing sounds of firing in the morning. Later, police went to the spots and recovered the bodies. Two locally-made arms and yaba pills were also seized from the spots, Farid Uddin Khandokar, officer-in-charge of Cox’s Bazar Sadar model police station, told Banglanews.

Prima facie, the occurrence happened centering on dispute between two groups of drug dealers. Dead bodies were sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar hospital morgue, OC also said.
