Indian Coast Guard chief in Dhaka

DHAKA: Indian Coast Guard director general Krishnaswamy Natarajan arrived here on 3-day visit to Bangladesh on Sunday (September 15), in a bid to strengthening cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

During the visit, the Indian Coast Guard chief has been accompanied by two delegation members.

Natarajan will call on Bangladesh home Minister, chief of naval staff and the DG Bangladesh Coast Guard, said press release of Indian High Commission to Dhaka.

He will also attend the High-Level Meeting between Indian and Bangladeshi Coast Guards.

The visit of Indian Coast Guard chief will strengthen the defence cooperation particularly in the field of maritime security and will make stronger existing close and friendly relegations between the coast guards of both countries.

He is expected to leave Dhaka for Delhi on September 18.
