DHAKA: Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New York during the United Nations General Assembly there.
He said this while addressing journalists at the Foreign Ministry on Sunday (September 15).
Dr. Momen said that the Bangladesh premier will visit India on October 3 on a three-day official tour to attend World Economic Forum event there.
A bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian premier Narendra Modi will be held on October 5. But before this, the Bangladesh PM will meet Narendra Modi during the UN General Assembly in New York. ”
In response to a question, he said, “The NRC is India's internal affairs. This is their problem. This is not a problem of Bangladesh. But we are careful about this.”
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for New York on September 20 to attend the UN General Assembly.
