2 suspects of Jubo League leader murder killed in 'shootout'

COX'S BAZAR: Two Rohingya men, accused in Teknaf Jubo League leader Omar Faruk murder case, were killed in a reported shootout with police in Cox's Bazar.   

Three persons including two policemen sustained injuries in the shootout that took place in Jadimura Hills around 2am Saturday (August 24), said police. 

The deceased are-- Md Shah from Mongdu area in Akiab and Md Shukur from Rashidong area of Myanmar.

They lived in Jadimura Shal Bagan refugee camp in Teknaf. 

Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pradip Kumar Das confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Two locally made guns and 21 cartridges were recovered from the spot, he said.
