DHAKA: Father of Bogura's YMC School tenth grader Maisha Fahmida Semonti sued two youths including her boyfriend nearly two months after she had committed suicide at her Bogura sadar residence.  

Hasanul Mashrek Rumon filed the case under Digital Security Act 2018 on Wednesday (August 21). 

The accused are-- Semonti's boyfriend Abir Ahmed, 20 and his friend Shahriar Antu-- both residents of Bogura sadar's Jail Bagan Lane.

14-year-old Semonti quitted herself as the accused posted her nudes on social media, said the case document.

Semonti was in a love affair with Abir and she was convinced by him to take some stripped photos, Rumon said in the statement.

Abir transferred the nudes to his phone and had sent one of them to Antu. Afterwards, Abir and Antu have had sex with the girl by threatening her to spread the photos online.

Abir and Antu had conversations over phone with Semonti 91 times on the night of June 18 before Semonti, feeling low, hanged herself from the ceiling fan. 

Moreover, on June 21, Abir sent one of the photos to one Jannatul Ferdous to convince Semonti's family to not file any case, added the case document. 

Hasanul Mashrek Rumon said neighboring Abir Ahmed and Semonti developed an affair after Abir donated blood to his ailing younger daughter nearly 15 months ago.

However, Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad Assams Jaglul Hossain asked Criminal Investigation Department (CID, Bogura) to submit a report within October 10 through running an investigation.
