DHAKA:  An autopsy has been performed on a woman’s body on Tuesday (August 20) which was recovered from the bathroom of an abandoned train’s compartment at Kamalapur Railway Station.

“We found marks of injury during post-mortem. The young woman, named as Asma, was strangled to death. She was raped before death, because traces were found,” said Pradeep Biswas, a lecturer at forensic department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Hospital. 

Responding to a question on gang rape, he said: "Tissue, high vaginal blood and viscera have been collected for this. They will be sent for examination.  Details will be given once test report is found,” he also said.
