3000 families suffer loss in Mirpur slum fire Rezaul Karim speaking to reporters

DHAKA: Around three thousand families suffered loss from the damage of 500-600 houses in Mirpur slum fire.

Assistant director of fire service Rezaul Karim revealed this information to reporters on Saturday morning (August 17).

In response to a question, Rezaul Karim said: “We haven’t established cause of fire, but fire spread quickly. Source of fire could be confirmed after investigation.”

A fire has broken out at a slum of Chalantika Mor area under Rupnagar police station in Mirpur Section-7 in the capital on Friday (August 16).

The fire erupted at 7:22 pm. 20 units of fire service battled to extinguish the fire.
