JAMALPUR: At least three villagers drowned in flood waters while one died of snake bike and another electrocuted in the worst flood hit Jamalpur district in eight hours till Saturday (July 20) night. 

The deceased were identified as Rahad Miah, 9, son of Samer Ali of Bakshiganj upazila, Iran, 3, son of Sakhawat, of Sarishabari municipally, Sifat, 16, son of Faruk Gazi of Sadar upazila, Raza Badsha, 55, son of Chandu Sheikh of Bakshiganj upazila and Nazma Begum, 40, with pf Abdul Matin of Mehandah upazila. 

Besides, a housewife, Akhlima, wife of Anwar of Bakshiganj upazila, was found hanging from ceiling at her house at night.

Bakshiganj Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Faruk told Banglanews that initially it seems to be a suicide. After receiving the autopsy report, details can be cleared.
