BARGUNA: Ayesha Siddiqa Minni confessed to her involvement in killing her husband Rifat Sharif in Barguna sadar upazila.

Barguna Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Maruf Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews Thursday (July 18).

Minni made the confession day after Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate Court placed her on remand for five days.

22-year-old Rifat Sharif from Barguna sadar upazila was allegedly hacked indiscriminately by his wife Minni's alleged former husband Noyon Bond and aides in broad daylight in front of Barguna Government College on June 26.

A shocking video of the brutal attack went viral on the social media, triggering widespread outrage and demands for justice.
