DHAKA: Rescuers recovered the body of one person trapped in a nearly abandoned building collapsing in old parts of Dhaka Wednesday (July 17).  

The body was recovered at 7:55pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence Duty officer Russel Shikder confirmed Banglanews.

The deceased couldn't be identified immediately.

At noon, roof of the hundred-year-old two-storey building in Patuatuli started to fall. 

The risky building is located adjacent to a hospital at lane no.6.

Till filing this report, Fire Service and Civil Defence team are conducting search as several are said to be stayed inside.
