Bangladeshi shot dead in South Africa

NOAKHALI: A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by local criminals at Mafikeng of North West province in South Africa on Monday (June 25).

The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 28, hailed from Kanchon Bazar area of char Jabber union in Subornachar upazila.

Colleagues of Alamgir from South Africa told family members at 10am on Tuesday (June 25) that in May this year, Alamgir filed the case against some people after his shop was robbed. The alleged robbers came out of jail upon bail from the court.

On Monday (June 24th), the robbers shot dead Alamgir while returning from his shop after committing robbery, leaving him dead on the spot.
