PATUAKHALI: A Chinese citizen died while he was undergoing treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) on Wednesday (June 19).

Leu Si, aged 45, was working at 1320 MW power plant at Nishanbariya in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district.

So far, two persons have died, including a Bangladeshi citizen Sabindra Das, 32, following the untoward incident.

6 Chinese citizens and two Bangladeshi citizens of Kalapara upazila were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night, Dr. Bakir Hossen, director of (SBMCH), told Banglanews.

Leu Si died of excessive bleeding in the head, the rest five were sent to Dhaka for better treatment, Dr. Bakir Hossen added.
