DHAKA: The government has promoted 136 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent rank to the post of joint secretaries.

Public Administration ministry has issued gazette notification on the promotions on Sunday (June 16). 

Twelve deputy commissioners have been promoted to the rank of joint secretaries. 

In a prior notification, deputy commissioners of the districts have been posted as in-situ officials.

On February 21, 2018, the government promoted 391 deputy secretaries to joint secretaries. On August 29, it promoted 154 officials to additional secretaries.

On September 20, 2018 the government has promoted 154 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent ranks to joint secretaries.
