DHAKA: Tahera Khandaker has been transferred and appointed as the general manager for public relations at Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The transfer has been made in an office order of the national flag carrier issued on Thursday (June 14).

As the head of public relations, her current responsibilities include media and external affairs, marketing communications and corporate social responsibility.

Shakil Meraj, the current general manager for public relations at Biman, has been transferred to Motor Transport Department as general manager.

Tahera Khandakar joined Industrial Relations Department of Biman in December 2000. After that, he worked in the foreign cell, Regulations, Audit, Personnel and other important branches in of Biman for a long time. 

Lastly, she has served as DGM for nearly three years in Biman Flight Catering Centre (BFCC) division.
