DHAKA: Police recovered the body of a 27-year-old man from a canal in Maniknagar area of Dhaka's Mugda Tuesday (May 28) morning.

The deceased couldn't be identified immediately.

Mugda Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sushil Chandra Barman told Banglanews that he might have died three days ago.

Efforts are on identify the deceased, he said.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy. Reasons behind the death could be known once the autopsy report is received, added the SI.
