GAIBANDHA: Miscreants shot a cloth trader to death at his shop in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha early Sunday (May 26).

Deceased Buda Sheikh, 47, was son of one Kafil Uddin in Isabpur village under Faridpur union of the upazila.

Police and local sources said the miscreants tricked Buda come to his shop, from his house, around 12:30am.

They fled by a motorcycle after shooting him.

He died while was being taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) by the neighbors.  

The body was sent to Gaibandha Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. Investigation is on to nab the attackers, said Sadullapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arshedul Huq.
