Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR: A Bangladesh national was shot to death by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Birol border of Dinajpur district early Sunday (May 26).

Dinajpur-2 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Captain Lt Col Kazi Nahiduzzaman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The deceased was identified as Alam Hossain, 40, a resident of Kamdebpur Eidgah area of the upazila.

We have invited BSF for a flag meeting. The incident of firing shots will be protested, said the BGB official.

The deceased is suspected to be a cattle smuggler, he added.

The body was brought by the locals.

BGB members sent the body to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
