BSF kills Bangladeshi along C’nawabganj border The body

CHAPAI NAWABGANJ: A Bangladesh national was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Masudpur frontier under Shibganj Upazila of the district.

The incident happened around 3:30 am on Saturday (April 20).

The deceased was identified as Bishu, 25, an alleged cattle trader, son of Taimur Hossain from Tarapur Munshipara village under the Monakosha union of the upazila.

Captain of BGB-53 battalion Lieutenant Col Sajjad Sarwar told Banglanews that he heard of a body recovered a paddy field, nothing more than that.

A Bangladeshi citizen’s body namely Bishu was recovered from a paddy field, a local ward member Samir Ali told Banglanews.

According to local sources, a gang intruded into Indian territory to fetch cattle deep at night, but at that time BSF opened fire, thereby injuring a cow herder. Later, his fellow herders rescued him to Bangladesh side and the man died.
