FENI: Feni’s Sonagazi upazila unit Awami League President Ruhul Amin was arrested in madrasha girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.

A team of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) arrested Ruhul Amin from Takia Bazar of Sonagazi, Friday (April 19) afternoon.

On April 6, the suspects set Nusrat on fire after pouring kerosene oil on her, after she had filed sexual harassment complaint against her headmaster Songazi’s Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasha Principal SM Siraj-ud-Daula over sexually harassing her.

On the night of April 10, Nusrat succumbed to her burn injuries while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), losing battle for life for five days. 

Law enforcers have arrested 14 people till Friday, over the incident.
