TANGAIL: Two underage girl cousins drowned while bathing in Jamuna river in Bhuapur of Tangail Friday (April 19) noon.

They are—Ritu, 5 and Choya, 6, from Gobindasi union of the upazila.

The duo went to bath in Jamuna river together, without informing the families.

Afterwards, locals saw one of them floating dead in the river.

The body of another one was recovered too.
