GOPALGANJ: Two youths were hospitalized after they had fallen victims to a doping gang in Gopalganj on Tuesday morning (March 19).

The victims were identified as Sabuj Sheikh, 28 and Sohag Sheikh, 28, hailing from Krishnapur village under Muksudpur upazila. Both of them are cousins in relation.

“Sabuj and Sohag were, on a bus, returning from Dhaka to Muksudpur in the morning,” Gopalganj Fire Service Station Master Nur Mohammad told Banglanews.

“The gang drank them cold drinks, thereby making them become unconscious. Afterwards, they snatched away money, money bag, and mobile from the youths and fled,” Nur Mohammad said.

“Later, the bus staff dumped the duo at Police Lines of the town. Locals spotted two men lying senseless and informed fire service,” Nur Mohammad also said.

“Fire Service, then, took them to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital,” Nur Mohammad further said.
