KHULNA: A drug dealer was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Dighirpar area in Khulna city early Friday (February 22).
The gunfight took place at Nirala graveyard area around 3:30 am.
The deceased was identified as Masud Rana alias Masud, 35, son of late Abdul Haque, from Basupara area under Sonadanga Model Thana.
Police seized a local pipe gun, a machete and 100 pieces of Yaba tablets from the spot.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu told Banglanews that Masud had a number of cases filed with various police stations.
