BARISHAL:  Autopsy of 31 bodies of immature babies (fetuses) which were recovered from the garbage of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC) in Barishal has been performed.

Principal Dr. Md. Syed Maqsumul Haque at SBMC confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Wednesday (February 20).

Earlier, a four-member probe body was formed led by associate professor of department of gynecology Dr. Akbar Hossen to investigate. 

Following autopsy, 31 fetuses will be sent to Anjuman-e Hemayet-e Islam. Later, they will be buried in a Muslim graveyard, Saidul Islam, sub-inspector of Barishal Kotwali Police Station, told Banglanews.

31 fetuses were recovered on Monday night (February 18).
