Gas supply suspended in parts of Dhaka for 12-hr

DHAKA:  Gas supply in most of the areas in the capital will remain suspended for 12 hours due to relocation of gas pipelines to facilitate construction of Mass Rapid Transit Development under the Dhaka Metro Rail Project.

The suspension period begins at 6 pm on Tuesday (February 19) and ends at 6 am on Wednesday (February 19), said a press release of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd on Tuesday (February 18).

The areas include Mirpur, Shyamoli, Monipuripara, Agargaon, Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Ganobhaban, Jatiya Sangsad, Kalabagan, Hazaribagh, Dhaka University, BUET, Shahbag Green Road, all areas in Old Dhaka, Bangabhaban, Gopibagh, Shamibagh, Rampura, Banasri, Nandipara, Moghbazar, Shiddheswari, Segunbagicha, Minto Road, Tejgaon, Khilgaon, Bashabo, Motijheel and Kamlapur.
