GAZIPUR:  The second phase Akheri Munajat (concluding prayers) of the 54th Biswa Ijtema has been deferred to Tuesday morning (February 19) due to inclement weather.

Followers of Saad informed ministry that they had no preparation for the Monday Munajat. Later, the date was deferred in consultation with seniors of Ijtema organizers, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Deewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir told Banglanews.

The Munajat was scheduled to take place on the bank of Turag River in Tongi town under Gazipur district on Monday (February 18).

The first phase Akheri Munajat ended on Saturday morning (February 16).

Senior Islamic scholar of Kakrail mosque Hafez Mawlana Mohammad Zubaer conducted the Munajat seeking world peace, divine blessings and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

With an extension of one day, the second largest congregation of Muslims after Hajj was arranged for four consecutive days from February 15-18.
