DHAKA: Bangladesh and India signed four memoranda of understanding (MoU) to extend cooperation in various sectors, according to Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
The MoUs were signed by Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at the 5th India-Bangladesh Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting in Delhi on Friday (February 8).
The agreements are as follows:
1: MoU on mid-career training of 1800 Bangladesh civil servants.
2: MoU between AYUSH and the Ministry of Health of Bangladesh on cooperation in the field of medicinal plants.
3: MoU between Anti-Corruption Commission of Bangladesh and Central Bureau of Investigation of India.
4: MoU between Hiranandani Group and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority to facilitate investments in the Indian Economic Zone in Mongla.
The minister left Dhaka for Delhi on February 6 and will return home on February 9.
