LAKSHMIPUR: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the district on Friday (January 18).

In one incident, a truck ran over a housewife, Sumi, when she was riding on a motorbike with her husband towards Majuchowdhuryhat in the morning. 

Being critically injured, she died on the way to hospital. Sumi, wife of Joydal, hailed from Char Ramni Mohan area of Lakshmipur Sadar upazila.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian, namely Shahjahan, got seriously injured as a rope meant for cutting roadside trees fell over him at Mandari area. Later, he died on the way to hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Sadar police station Shamima confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
