TANGAIL: Two persons were killed and at least twenty others injured as a bus overturned after losing control at Bangra union parishad area in Kalihati upazila of the district.

The accident happened on Tangail-Mymensingh highway around 11:30 pm on Thursday (January 17).

The casualties could not be identified yet.

A Tangail-bound Prantik Paribahan bus overturned while overtaking another vehicle, leaving two passengers killed on the spot, Mosharraf Hossen, officer-in-charge of Kalihati police station, told Banglanews.

10 among 20 injured are in critical conditions. All the injured were sent to Kalihati Upazila complex and Tangail Sadar Hospital. Number of casualties is likely to rise, Mosharraf Hossen also said.
