COX’S BAZAR: Two workers died of electrocution in Bilpara area in Maheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday afternoon (Oct 17).

The deceased were identified as Mostak Ahmed, 35 and Kausar Alam, 22, both of them hailed from Kalarmarchhara union of the upazila. 

Quoting locals, Maheshkhali police station sub-inspector (SI) Amin told Banglanews that the duo was working to install a tube-well at one Bashir Ahmed’s house and accidentally touched an electric wire that killed them instantly. 

The bodies were sent to Chakaria upazila health complex, he added.
