Corruption won’t be allowed anymore: Law Minister Law Minister Anisul Huq (sitting in the middle) at the seminar

DHAKA: Law Minister Anisul Huq said corruption will no longer be allowed in this country.

“Corruption will soon be minimized if everything gets digital. Only the political will can do that.  And Sheikh Hasina-led government has this will.” Anisul Huq said.

He was addressing a seminar titled 'Anti-Corruption Drive and Success of Leadership’ as a chief guest at Jatiya Press Club on Sunday (February 17).

“BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's 10 years of imprisonment is the proper judgment for misappropriating orphans’ money. Even embezzlement of merely Tk 2.5 is considered a major corruption for a former Prime Minister,” Anisul Huq also said.

The minister also said in this current situation, dealing with corruption is a big challenge all over the world.  It is not possible to combat corruption only by law, but punishment is also needed.
