COVID-19: India confirms 14,914 deaths

The coronavirus death toll of India has reached 14,914 till Thursday afternoon, according to latest data from worldometer.

While 4,74,272 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus, 2,71,934 have recovered, the source said.

To date, 1,87,424 are active cases in the country.

Among the active cases, the number of critical patients are 8,944, worldometer reported.

Nearly 17,000 fresh cases were recorded within a span of 24 hours, The Indian Express reported.

India is gearing up to install AI-based ‘Covid surveillance’ cameras that detect body temperatures of individuals and whether a person is wearing a mask.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus (Covid-19) death toll has climbed to 4,85,417 worldwide till Thursday afternoon (June 25, Bangladesh Time). 

A total of 95,49,660 people have been infected and 51,90,796 people have recovered worldwide from the disease, according to worldometer.

A total of 213 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
