'India wins yet again', says Modi

After the trends showed that the NDA is heading towards a massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (May 23) tweeted saying "India wins yet again".

The BJP is leading in 345 seats as per trends as votes are being counted for the Lok Sabha elections.

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that together we will build a strong and inclusive India.

He wrote, "Sabka Saath + Sabka Vikas + Sabka Vishwas = Vijayi Bharat. Together we grow. Together we prosper. Together we will build a strong and inclusive India. India wins yet again! #VijayiBharat."

Prime Minister Modi is leading comfortably in Varanasi, where he is seeking a second term.

Of the 542 parliamentary seats, the BJP and its NDA allies leading in 345 seats while the Congress and its UPA allies placed second in the list with 86 seats, as per official Election Commission trends.

BJP allies Shiv Sena (20), JD-U (16) and Lok Janshakti Party (6) were also doing well in Maharashtra and Bihar.
