40 jawans killed in India’s Jammu-Kashmir terror attack

At least 40 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. 

Death toll in the Pulwama's Awantipora terror attack is expected to rise, police officials said. 

The injured have been shifted to a hospital. 18 of them were reportedly in a critical condition. 

Terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed has taken the responsibility of the attack. 

IED blast was followed by gunshots in Goripora area of Awantipora. 

Politicians across the country have condemned the Pulwama attack which left 20 CRPF jawans dead and multiple injured. 

India’s Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shifraj Singh Chouhan, Congress Vice President Venkaiah NaiduVijay Kumar Singh, BJP MP Vijay Kumar Singh and several others condemned the terror attack.
