JSC begins Nov 2, SSC from Feb 1

DHAKA: The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and equivalent examinations for class eight students will begin on November 2 this year.

As per routine, the exams will begin from November 2 and end on November 11. All exams will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

The examinees will take Bangla on the first day.

Bangla will be held on November 2 while English November 4, Information and communication technology on November 5 Islam/other religions on November 6, Bangladesh and world identity on November 7, Mathematics on November 9 and Science November 11.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent exams are scheduled to begin on February 1 next year.

The theoretical parts of the tests will end on February 22, which will be followed by practical tests onwards, a circulation of education ministry said Wednesday.

The practical tests have to be completed between February 23 and February 29.
 
According to the directive, candidates will have to take sit at the exam centres 30 minutes before the start of both JSC and SSC examinations.
 
MCQ tests will be held on the first and then theoretical examination, and there will be no break in both exams.

Apart from Centre Secretary, no other person / examinee can bring mobile phone to the examination center and the instruction will be applicable for both exams. 

The examinees will be able to use the general scientific calculator in the exam centre.
