Devotees demand Babul’s arrest

DHAKA: Devoted Muslims of the country started agitating against Jamuna Group’s business of alcoholic drinks and beers, which is forbidden in Islam.

They have urged the government to arrest Jamuna Group’s chairman Nurul Islam Babul, the prime mover of anti-Islamic activities within the country, and announce all the activities of the group as illegal.

As a part of a continuous protest against the anti-Islamic activities of Jamuna Group, thousands of leaflets were distributed in more than 50 mosques, including Baitul Mukarram, of the capital after the Jummah prayer on Friday.

Hundreds of pious Muslims distributed these leaflets under the banner of ‘Sommilito Islami Janata’.

After reading the leaflets, devotees expressed their deep hatred and said they won’t tolerate the business of alcoholic drinks of Nurul Islam Babul in the country.

They emphasized that it is a moral duty of the Muslim’s to avoid all the institutions of Babul including Jamuna Future Park, JW Marriott Hotel, which is being built after the Jewish style and products.

Devotees said Jamuna Future Park has been built after demolishing mosque-graveyard and now has been permitted for opening bar, we reject this and we urges countrymen to boycott the shopping mall.

Leader of the organization Imam Hossain Helal said, “We will distribute 50 thousands leaflets in hundreds mosques including Dhaka. We will fight against Nurul Islam Babul.”

Distributed leaflet reads: Babul was a notorious dacoit during country’s Liberation War at Kamarakhola village of Dohar. He became business tycoon through robbery, terrorism and extortion and working against religious sentiment by producing and distributing beer and alcohol.”

Currently Jamuna Group is marketing three kinds of beer-- Crown, Hunter and Oamar Khoiyam. Country’s young generation are becoming addicted to these beers which is raising tension about future of these youths.

So far around 600 youths died across the country drinking toxic alcohol produced by Jamuna Group.

It is hoped in the leaflet that young generation will avoid Future Park and Beer Bar.

The leaflets consist verses from Holy Quran which prohibit drugs.

As per the leaflets, they claimed Jamuna group and its owner Nurul Islam Babul as an agent of Zionism in Bangladesh and spreading it through a practice of yellow journalism of Daily Jugantor.

They termed the Jamuna group-owned newspaper Jugantor as an icon of yellow journalism in the country and their falsified news and ideas are enhancing the impious and stippled media.

The statement also hinted that Nurul Islam Babul made the biggest market by grabbing lands illegally.

Babul is working along with devil as he destroyed mosques and made casino, bars in the place and he should be punished as per law.

Besides, the statement also hinted whether it will be safe for women and children to visit Future Park as there will be drunken people around.

According to the leaflet, the devotees said the anti-Islamic, anti social and destructive activities will plunge his entire establishment into ditch as he is cursed. A mosque destroyer couldn’t able to lead any the ill-gotten empire (!) in the history.

The protesting devotees urged the government to take legal steps immediately against Jamuna Group and Nurul Islam Babul.
