It was 2010. It was a little bit crazy time for me. I was looking for a dynamic news media as I had just returned from Germany after completing a 2-month course on online and multimedia journalism.

Instructors of the course continuously showed us the images of rapidly changing horizon of international media world.

‘News should be provided as early as possible to the readers.’

‘News should be disseminated to as many people as possible.’

‘No doubt, news should also be produced within the shortest possible time.’

These were regular theoretical lessons during the course. But now practice is needed. I was desperately looking for a dynamic media that provide the readers information about what’s happening around them.

It was, of course, banglanews24.com and is still the most vibrant news portal of the country.

The portal’s Editor-in-Chief Alamgir Hossian, a dynamic person I have ever seen, (I tell people when they ask me about him), welcomed me saying ‘start working’.

A smile flickered on my face.

Since then, I have been welcoming readers to the world of banglanews24.com with the promise of meeting their thirst of news round the clock.
