DHAKA: Flight operations on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route resumed on Sunday after over two months of suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak.
A flight of Biman carrying 187 passengers left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for London at 12:02 am, said Tahera Khandakar, Biman's deputy general manager (public relations).
Biman flights will be operated once a week on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route from now on.
On Tuesday, flight operations on international routes from Bangladesh resumed after over two months of suspension.
On June 1, Civil Aviation authority permitted operation of all domestic flights maintaining social distancing and following health guidelines.
However, the shortage of passengers forced Biman Bangladesh Airlines to cancel some of its flights on three domestic routes.
