DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday (September 17) opened to operation the fourth Dreamliner aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines 'Rajhangsha'.
She inaugurated the Boeing 787-8 aircraft amid formalities at the VVIP Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, in the afternoon.
She boarded Rajhangsha and inspected its various parts.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines added Rajhangsha to its fleet Saturday (September 14).
It has 24 business class and 247 economy class seats.
Manufactured by US-based Boeing Company, the aircraft was named by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
In 2008, Biman signed a $ 2.1 billion deal with Boeing to buy 10 aircrafts.
