DHAKA: Biman Bangaldesh Airlines is set to resume flight operation on Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka route on Monday (May 13), ending the suspension nearly for five years.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali is scheduled to inaugurate the resumption.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed the matter in a press release Saturday (May 11).

Sources at the national flag carrier said that the flights will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3pm on Saturday, Monday and Thursday and reach Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 5:20pm.

The return flight will leave for Dhaka from the same airport at 6:20pm local time.

Marking the resumption, Biman offered 15% discount in tickets.

Biman General Manger (Public Relations) Shakil Meraj said that 162-seat Boeing 737-800 aircrafts will be flown on Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka route.

On August 23, 2014, Biman suspended operation on the same route "due to loss".
