NILPHAMARI: As many as 14 flights will be operated on Saidpur-Dhaka route each day of summer 2019 (March 31 to October 26) taking the number highest for any domestic route.

The information revealed Sunday (March 24) as Saidpur Airport authorities announced its summertime schedule.

Sources from the Rangpur division’s lone airport said now some 7-9 flights are being operated on the route each day which is inadequate against the escalating number of passengers.

Therefore, Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) has taken the move to operate 14 flights everyday in this season of hot weather. 

As per the schedule, Novoair will operate 5 flights while US-Bangla 4 flights, Biman 3 flights and Regent 2 flights everyday.

Saidpur Airport Manager Md Shamim Ahammed said the passengers will get extended service this season.
